The fellowship matching program was conceived and organized through the auspices of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM), which is the professional society for maternal-fetal medicine specialists in the United States. The match is designed primarily for your benefit - to eliminate undue pressure placed on you to make a decision regarding a specific program before you have had the opportunity to explore all of your options.
