Program Description:
The ASM International Fellowship Program seeks to foster mentor relationships between senior scientists and academically gifted young investigators in developing countries. The program seeks to promote research and training collaborations that will encourage and further the careers of early-career scientists in the microbiological sciences internationally.

This award is intended to encourage North America/Latin America collaborations in microbiological research and training. In particular, it seeks to promote research in the area of antimicrobial resistance by nationals of countries in Latin America that are less represented in international scientific journals. Currently awarding up to one ASM-PAHO Fellowship for Latin America per year. Funding for this award is partially provided by the Pan American Health Organization.
